The St Clair Area Fire Department trains monthly to maintain our proficiency so that we can provide the best service possible to the community we serve.

We train over 78 hours a year in all aspects of Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services.

The bulk of our firefighters are trained to the same level of certification as a full time firefighters; Firefighter I & II, Emergency Medical Technicians, Hazardous Materials Operations, National Incident Managements Systems, Ice and Water Rescue Technicians, just to list some of the many training certifications we maintain as a department.

The St Clair area Fire Department strives to maintain top of the line equipment and firefighting apparatus. Part of our continuing education is in the operational efficiency with this equipment.

St Clair Fire Department is always adapting, improvising and overcoming challenges to maintain our overall proficiency and competency to provide high quality efficient services to the community we serve.

You may see us out and about in the community testing our skills under dynamic conditions and realistic environments to prepare our firefighters so they may perform in a calm and controlled manner when real world incidents happen.
