St Clair MARINE 1

St Clair Marine 1 was added to the Fire Departments inventory in late summer of 2002. To fill a gap in water Rescue, the Fire department felt a need to be able to perform rescue tasks in both small and large waterways, due to the diverse area of water ways we are responsible for. This Vessel was purchased with a combination of community donated funds and matching funds from the Foundations.

Marine 1 is a 20 ft Triton, with a 150hp Mercury motor. Specially designed to afford maximum working floor space to accommodate for a Fire Pump (for marine Firefighting) and space for patients if rescue is needed.  Equipped with Emergency medical, immobilization and rescue equipment. Marine 1 will be used for Marine Firefighting and Large waterway rescues.
